P.S.: Why is the self righting chamber so expensive? It cost more than half the cost of the hull itself? Just wondering... Thx.
It is a lot of labor fitting and sealing and most times resealing.
Regarding the self righting chamber I have a few questions:

1 Will it determine one and only one position/location of the battery?
2 Will it need battery tray?
3 What is the maximum battery size I will be able to use?
4 What is the boat attitude when racing? Will it race better w/o it?

Still trying to figure out if I really want to go with it or not...

Please advise. Thx.
1 Will it determine one and only one position/location of the battery?
No the motor does that it (the motor) has two possible positions depending on the weight of the motor and the cells. I like to have the chamber for universal uses. I disable it for racing, enable it for fun runs.
2 Will it need battery tray?
That is personal preference. I prefer to not use one. with out one it is lower weight, lower CG, more universal for movement of cg. I do like to re-enforce the hull for the cells.
3 What is the maximum battery size I will be able to use?
That is determined by your planned use.
4 What is the boat attitude when racing? Will it race better w/o it?
LOL That is also depends on the individual racing it. I like speed and keep the boat as loose as safely possable. Set up correctly it slightly helps in barrow roll to correctly land.
